How do I connect WhatsApp?
You register your number in Integrations, type the code WhatsApp sends you by SMS or call and, once connected, your team writes and replies from Sice.
Where it lives
Workspace › Connections › Integrations › WhatsApp
Step by step
- In the side menu, under Spaces, open Workspace and, under the Connections heading, go to Integrations. Pick WhatsApp, under Messaging.
- Press Register number.
- Give it a name you will recognize (Sales, for example) and the number with its country code, starting with +.
- Choose how you want the code: by SMS or by phone call. If the number is a landline, pick the call: it cannot receive an SMS.
- Press Register. WhatsApp sends you the code and the number shows Code needed.
- Type the code you receive into the box on the card and press Verify. The number turns Connected; if you see Under review, press Check status later.
Worth knowing
- You do not need a Meta Business account or a Facebook login: the number is registered from Sice.
- The number cannot be in use on another WhatsApp account. If you already use it in the WhatsApp app or in WhatsApp Business, remove it there before registering it.
- Outside the 24 hours after the customer's last message, every conversation the business starts goes out as a template, and Meta reviews each template before approving it. You write them on the same screen, under Templates.
- Replying inside those 24 hours is free. Messages you start with a template are charged to your credit. If your credit does not cover it, the template does not go out.
- The number stays in the workspace you register it from. Connecting your channels is not charged: what you pay for are the messages you start with a template.
- If the screen says “WhatsApp is not available yet”, that is an installation setting and not something in your workspace: write to us and we will enable it.
